• Make sure that you pay attention to any NOTE: that is in this document.
• Try and keep your HTML code simple. It is easier to maintain and understand. KISS- a principle to live by.
• To convert your graphics to GIF format, use one of two shareware programs-GIFConverter or GraphicConverter. They can be downloaded from all the major online services or go to YAHOO and search in Computers--->Software--->Graphics
• To get free graphics, get on the WWW and go to The El Cheapo Web Page at http://www.oanet.com/homepage/darryls/cheapo.htm. This page will point you in the right direction.
• Be prepared to experiment with your page. The best thing to do is to draw it out on paper in order to visualize what you are making. Visualizing while you are writing the code is difficult.
• Look at your web page with more than one browser to get a feel what your page will look like to different readers.
• *Remember* this document is no where near a full discussion about HTML. The standards for it are being debated right now and companies like Netscape,Sun Microsystems and Adobe are setting standards with their own products. The HTML in HTML 101 & HTML 201 are very basic and should weather the storm......but nothing is certain.
